Delving into Roots

After experiencing Global design in New York and Milan, Eggarat returned to Thailand and started researching Thai cultural context, crafts, industrial production, and history.

He discovered that Southeast Asia is a melting pot of cultures from China through trade and India through religious influence. Hinduism intermingled with Buddhism, Catholicism, and Islam and became unity as part of people's living routine from generation to generation.

However, Thais are good at topping up whatever influences and taking a further step beyond the originals, elaborating it, and making it their own. Thai arts and architecture reflect the abstract infrastructure of any creative influences in this region.

With his vision of combining local wisdom and massive production, he came across many inventions that he portrayed in his furniture production, product design, and interior design.
